Meet Marleina

My ultimate goal with Marleina Rainier Studio is to create things that inspire adventure, create joy, and display God's beautiful creation.

My Story

When I was growing up, there was hardly a moment where I wasn’t creating something, whether it was sewing a purse out of jeans, spreading paint across a canvas, or designing my own little jewelry line. Art has been a key part of my life since the beginning.

In 2020, when I was in college, I decided to turn this passion into something more, my own business where I could share my art with the world, starting with my own jewelry and accessory line. I spent the time at home during lockdown researching materials, making my own stamps out of potatoes, and launched my very first line.

At the same time, I fell back in love with the outdoors. Kayaking, hiking, and National Parks had always been a part of my life and then they solidified themselves as a part of who I was (as if being named after one hadn’t been enough).

Over the next three years, I built my little business, went to over 13 different National Parks, travelled to many different cities, and paid my way through my senior year of college with my business, before starting my first corporate job, where I sat at a desk all day and fell into a serious depression. I would stay at that job for the next two and a half years.

I am grateful to all I learned, but my old job took away the creative side of me, and now I am finding my way back. Back to my passions, back to my strengths, back to the outdoors, and back to my business. Now I am rebuilding my brand from the ground up, incorporating my love of national parks, mountains, and flowers into its identity in order to create a brand that brings the majesty of creation into everyday life. I hope you enjoy it!

My favorites list

My favorite national park:

Zion and my favorite hike there is Angel's Landing, hard but so worth it.

My favorite flower:

Right now, I am obsessed with the zinnias in my garden, but sunflowers are my favorite overall.

My favorite way to spend a Saturday:

In the morning, going for a run and then going to the farmers market, having lunch somewhere new with my husband, and then making dinner together.

My favorite movies:

Mama Mia, Beauty and the Beast, Pride and Prejudice

The trips I am planning next:

Grand Canyon National Park and Greece
